What areas do you cover?

We endeavour to serve as much of the South-East of England and surrounding counties as possible and have been installing & renovating sash windows, casement windows and doors throughout these areas since our founding in 1999. We cover areas including Central London, South London, South West London (except North and East London locations), Surrey, Berkshire, Kent, Hampshire, Middlesex and Sussex. Please see the areas we serve for further location details.

What are your opening hours?

We are open and able to assist you every Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm and also on Saturday between 9am to 12pm (by appointment only). Contact us to find out more.

What payment methods are available?

We accept all major credit cards (except Amex) for deposit payment only up to a value of £10,000 including VAT.

Unfortunately, we don’t offer any finance arrangements.

What qualifications do you hold? Are you registered with any professional bodies?

We are FENSA registered and members of the Guild of Master Craftsmen and Check-a-Trade.

Who manufactures the windows?

Unlike many other companies, we manufacture our windows and doors in our purpose-built, state-of-the-art workshop and then our own full-time fitters will install them. Our team is equipped to handle the entire project from consultation to warehouse to fitting and aftercare.

Do the windows and doors you supply satisfy building regulations?

All the sash windows, casement windows and doors that we supply are fully compliant with current Building Regulations. New sash windows, casement windows or doors that fit into existing frames are not required to comply with regulations as such work does not affect the structure of a building. Listed buildings and conservation area properties may be exempt from regulations – your local planning authority will be able to advise you if you are unsure.

What type of guarantees do you offer?

We offer a 50-year timber guarantee for Accoya and a 10-year guarantee for Grade A Redwood, Sapele Hardwood and European Oak. We want you to be over the moon with your new windows or doors and our promise is simple. If there is something you are not happy with, no matter how small, we will come back and fix it – no quibbles.

Are you covered by Insurance?

Our services are covered under a full public liability insurance policy.

Do you use your own fitters?

All our Fitters are employed by the company and have to complete a rigorous training program. The fitting team chosen to fit your new windows will ensure that the property is protected by dust sheets and after completing the work will leave each room as tidy as they found it.

How long does installation take?

Installation length varies depending on the requirement of the service and the number of windows/doors which need to be worked on. We can, however, give accurate information and timescales after the initial survey.

Will I need to be at home during installation?

It is not necessary for you to be present as long as we have access to the property. Our company liability insurance will cover your home and contents whilst we carry out the work.

Will there be much disruption during installation?

On most occasions, there will be minimal disruption. There may be some dust but we will sheet up before and during installation, and vacuum after the work is complete.

How should you prepare for a trouble-free installation?

We strongly advise the working space is clear and that anything around the window is removed prior to our arrival, including blinds, curtains and shutters. Alternatively, we can try to remove the existing shutters and/or curtains but cannot be held responsible for any damage that may occur during this process, or guarantee the shutters/curtains will fit if a new box frame or casement frame is fitted.

Which is better, Repair or Replacement?

It is not always necessary to replace your existing sash windows, we can refurbish your existing sash windows with our full draught excluder system. Alternatively, we can simply refurbish your existing sash windows; the standard of our service means that we can even provide a 3-year guarantee for all paintwork. Do note that our timber guarantees apply to new timber only.

I want to replace my windows but live in a conservation area. Do I need permission?

We have an expert team that specialises in conservation areas so that the best advice can be provided whatever your needs. A quick call to your local council will be able to inform you of any restrictions regarding windows or doors.

My property is listed and I want to double glaze. Can you offer this?

We have an expert team that specialises in listed buildings so that the best advice can be provided whatever your needs.

Our Bedroom Overlooks A Busy, Noisy Road. Can Period Windows Be Made To Reduce Sound?

Yes, we can. For new windows, acoustic-proof glass can also be fitted, in either single or double glazing. We also offer a draught proofing service for existing sash windows. In doing so, we seal any gaps in the window perimeters where cold air can get through or warm air can escape, eliminate any rattling, opening problems or soundproofing issues caused by poorly fitted sashes.

Are Sash Windows Sustainable?

We don’t use uPVC plastic in any of our windows, meaning they’re made from 100% sustainable materials. Our production methods and warehouse practices are sustainable too – see our Eco-Friendly Credentials for further information.

What windows do you offer?

We have been manufacturing, supplying and installing Traditional Timber Sash and Casement windows and doors since 1999. During this time we have completed a huge variety of installations, supplying over 65,000 replacement windows.

What’s the Difference Between a Casement Window and a Sash Window?

Casement windows refer to any window that typically opens via a hinge mechanism. Sash windows, on the other hand, open by one part of the window sliding over the other for a more classic style. There are many types of casement and sash windows, but that is the general principle.

What timber should I have for my windows?

We offer Accoya, Grade A Redwood, Sapele Hardwood and European Oak.

Are your windows painted?

For new windows we fit, the wooden frames are treated with a wet rot, dry rot and woodworm preservative before being sprayed with primer and 3 coats of micro porous paint. They are then moved into our specialist drying area. For existing windows, we do offer a paint and refurbishment service.

Can you match the style of my existing windows?

We are experts in matching the existing design of any sash windows, casement windows or doors that your home already possesses. We are also specialists in matching modern, energy-efficient production methods with traditional joinery techniques.

Can you decorate my windows?

All the replacement windows we supply come fully decorated.

What locks do you put onto the windows?

The supplied security locks are insurance-approved & child safe.

How should I clean my sash windows?

Traditional sash windows can be cleaned using a damp cloth and water from the inside, although a window cleaner could also do the job.

How often will I need to paint my windows?

After we’ve installed and painted your sash or casement windows, a realistic expectation for the painting requirement would be 7-9 years (weather dependent).

What doors do you offer?

We are extremely proud of the high quality range of Doors that we are able to manufacture and supply. We offer French Doors, Bi-fold Doors and Single Doors. All doors that we manufacture are using Accoya or European Oak timber.

What colours are available?

Any colour you like, although European Oak is best left untreated as the grain is then visible.

What size doors do you make?

We manufacture doors that are bespoke and fit any aperture or property.

How secure are the doors?

All doors are manufactured using insurance- approved locking mechanisms for your peace of mind.
