- Little maintenance is needed over time
- Modern look for modern homes
- Many glazing options are available
- They are very unlikely to rattle or rot
- They can be cheaper than wooden windows
Cons
- Limited colours available
- Frames can discolour over time
- Too much heat can rupture the frames
- Maintenance requires specialist knowledge and individual parts are difficult to replace
- A house fire would cause the vinyl to give off dangerous toxic fumes.
- They lack character and can look out of place on traditional homes
- Expected life span can be as little as 10-15 years
