A little about our service area…

Weybridge is situated in close proximity to the River Wey, boasting many famous residents. Today Cliff Richard, Peter Crouch and Theo Paphitis have made home in this leafy district, while further back in the 1960s, Beatles’ members Ringo Starr and John Lennon owned property here, as well as Welsh legend Tom Jones. In 2008, six of the ten most expensive streets in South East England could be found in Weybridge, with many desirable buildings adorned with traditional sash windows.

It’s not always been the case though. Weybridge appears in Domesday Book of 1086, consisting of only 6 hides, 1 ½ ploughs, 32 acres of meadow and 9 hogs. Due to the opening of Weybridge railway station in 1838, travel into central London became possible. The area also has cultural acclaim, as the location of the battle in which a Martian fighting machine was destroyed in The War of the Worlds, H. G. Well’s classic novel.
